Experienced Veterinary Technician
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Experienced Veterinary Technician to join our dedicated team at Keys Animal ER. In this role, you will provide critical support to our veterinarians, ensuring the highest standard of care for our patients and exceptional service for our clients. Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and surgical procedures.
- Perform diagnostic tests, including radiographs, bloodwork, and urinalysis.
- Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as prescribed.
- Place IV catheters and monitor anesthesia during surgical procedures.
- Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with hospital protocols.
- Provide education and support to clients about their pet's care and treatment plans.
- Ensure a clean, organized, and safe environment for patients and staff.
- Handle emergency cases with efficiency and professionalism.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Veterinary Technician (certification preferred but not required).
- Proficiency in handling animals of various sizes and temperaments.
- Knowledge of common veterinary procedures, medications, and medical equipment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a team-oriented attitude.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to continuing education and staying updated on veterinary best practices.
Schedule:
We are seeking coverage for the Friday, Saturday, and Sunday shift from 8 AM to 8 PM. Applicants who can work this schedule on a rotating basis are also encouraged to apply.
