POSITION SUMMARY: The Beverage Supervisor will maintain the organizations inventory and maintain accurate records of all procurements. Maintain the highest possible level of courteous and friendly service at all times. Ensure all guests are served quickly and efficiently and their overall dining experience is a pleasant one.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

10. Promptly report substandard (unsafe) conditions to supervisor.
11. Keep accurate communication flowing freely among all hotel departments.
12. Inform management promptly of any work-related problems or guest complaints.
13. Maintain professional, amicable relationships with all resort departments, managers, and staff, as well as guests, patrons, vendors, community and professional contacts.
14. Promote excellent guest service throughout the resort by demonstrating friendly, courteous and helpful attitudes toward all guests.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
· Establishes and maintains backup source for high-demand items.
· Assesses inventory reports and order patterns to identify items in need of automatic, recurring delivery.
· Provides inventory reports to purchasing and F&B Director.
· Develops and maintains good working relationships with vendors.
· Maintains accurate daily records of goods received and shipments made.
· Manages and maintains inventory system; facilitates upgrades to related database and/or software under the direction of the purchasing or inventory control manager.
· Conducts frequent spot and partial audits of physical inventory.
· Monthly physical inventory audits.
· Obtain food and beverage orders from guests, utilizing up-selling skills.
· Serve food and beverage to guests.
· Respond to guest requests, promptly and efficiently.
· Stock and maintain workstations and supplies.
· Perform side work (folding napkins, filling salt and pepper shakers, etc.)
· Maintain clean workstation.
· Proper check handling, according to established procedures.
· Maintain cleanliness of dining area to include floor, table bases, tables, and chairs.
· Remove soiled dishes from tables.
· Be able to pre-bus tables.
· Organize and remember tasks so that guests are served properly and in a timely manner.
· Able to handle stress of interacting with co-workers and guests, handling guest complaints and dealing with time constraints.
· Calculate/make change.
· Able to remain at workstation the entirety of shift.
· Ability to maintain clean, professional appearance.
EDUCATION: High School education or G.E.D. preferred.
EXPERIENCE: 1-year previous dining room experience as a server.
JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
· Able to read and follow both written and verbal communication, in English.
· Able to communicate well and maintain good interpersonal relations with co-workers and guests.
· Knowledge of menu and up-selling skills; ability to suggest menu items to satisfy dietary requirement.
· Work closely and cooperate with co-workers.
· Follow established serving protocol and serve guests promptly.
· Generate order to be transmitted to kitchen staff.
· Able to stand and walk for extended periods of time with little to no sitting.
· Must be able to bend, stoop, reach and twist.
· Must be able to push, pull and lift up to fifty (50) pounds with or without an accommodation.
· Able to lift and carry plates, trays, glasses, cups, coffee pots, pitchers, silverware and condiments and coordinate tray stands, with or without an accommodation.
· Complete side work.
· Operate essential equipment.
· Able to use independent judgment to effectively respond to guest requests.
· Display a friendly “team player” attitude.
