JOB TITLE: Program Coordinator
JOB DESCRIPTION: Responsible for researching, planning, developing and implementing Boys and Girls Clubs programs and activities, as dictated by the Boys and Girls Clubs of America, for proper reporting. Embody the mission of the Boys &
Girls Clubs of America: “To enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.”
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Initiate and set goals for programs based on the Boys and Girls Clubs of America strategic objectives
- Train staff and be a motivating mentor to achieve the goals set forth in the programs
- Network effectively with those inside and outside of the programs, with positive influence
- Prepare appropriate reports associated with the programs
- Be responsible for the overall success of each program
- Be aware of the broader perspective and how it affects the programs
- Prepare for and attend staff meetings
- Apply risk assessment and management principles and processes
- Other duties as deemed necessary
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate’s Degree, plus three years experience
- Excellent analytical skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent planning and resource management skills
- Excellent decision-making skills, with an understanding of what makes a program effective.
- Demonstrates interpersonal skills and ability to function with staff of different ages and cultural backgrounds
