Job Description:
As a Fine Dining Server at The Rhum House, you will play a key role in delivering top-tier service to our guests. Your mission is to create memorable dining experiences by providing personalized service, showcasing our menu, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
- Warmly greet guests and provide a welcoming experience.
- Present menus and offer detailed information on dishes, beverages, and specials.
- Accurately take food and drink orders, promptly communicating them to the kitchen and bar.
- Serve food and beverages with precision and attention to detail.
- Address guest inquiries and special requests to ensure satisfaction.
- Work closely with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely and accurate service.
- Maintain a clean and organized dining area, including setting and resetting tables for new guests.
- Handle guest payments and process transactions with accuracy.
- Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and alcohol service.
- Participate in team meetings and training to stay updated on menu changes and restaurant policies.
- Be knowledgeable about all resort outlets, amenities, and experiences to guide guests.
- Contribute to a positive team environment, promoting collaboration and cooperation.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a fine dining or upscale restaurant setting is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food, beverages, and pairing, including wine and spirits.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to providing exceptional service.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Team player with a positive attitude and passion for creating outstanding guest experiences.
- Competency with computers and experience using point-of-sale software.
