Position Description
Seeking skilled and experienced Concrete Workers, specializing in either formwork or finishing, for various opportunities in markets across the country. The Concrete Laborer/Finisher primary responsibility will be to assist in the preparation, placement, and finishing of concrete and/or a focus on formwork during construction projects. Join our team and bring your expertise in both concrete formwork and finishing to contribute to the successful completion of our construction projects with a focus on quality and safety. This position requires 100% travel within Florida & Georgia.
Essential Duties
- Assist in the preparation of construction sites, emphasizing both concrete formwork and finishing
- Set up and dismantle concrete forms according to project specifications
- Mix, pour, and finish concrete, paying special attention to both formwork and finishing requirements
- Operate and maintain concrete tools and equipment, including tools specific to formwork and finishing
- Always follow safety guidelines and practices
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and quality work
- Learn and apply new techniques and skills in concrete construction, encompassing both formwork and finishing
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in concrete work, with expertise in both formwork and finishing
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications related to formwork and finishing
- Proficiency in setting up and dismantling concrete forms according to project requirements
- Capability to mix, pour, and finish concrete with precision and attention to detail
- Physical capability to lift and handle heavy materials
- Commitment to adhering to safety protocols and regulations
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Ability to operate a skid steer, mini excavator and walk behind / handheld concrete saws
- Willingness and ability to work overtime and occasional weekend shifts
Physical Requirements
This position involves significant manual labor and requires the ability to perform the following physical activities:
- Bending, Standing, and Stooping: Regularly engage in bending, standing, and stooping for extended periods.
- Climbing: Ability to climb ladders or stairs and work at height for extended periods of time.
- Tool Usage: Proficient use of both small and large manual and power tools.
- Lifting: Capable of lifting and carrying items weighing up to 75 pounds.
Candidates should be prepared to work in a physically demanding environment and possess the stamina and strength necessary to perform these tasks safely and effectively.
