Duties
- Assist clients in buying, selling, and renting properties
- Provide guidance and support throughout the entire real estate transaction process
- Conduct market research to determine property values and competitive prices
- Create and maintain listings of available properties
- Show properties to potential buyers or tenants
- Negotiate contracts and terms of sale or lease agreements
- Coordinate property inspections and appraisals
- Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations
- Stay up-to-date with real estate market trends and changes in real estate law
- Collaborate with other professionals such as mortgage lenders, attorneys, and home inspectors
Experience
- Must be a current licensed real estate agent or in school to be a real estate agent
- Previous experience in real estate or a related field is preferred but not required
- Strong administrative skills to handle paperwork and documentation accurately and efficiently
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills to effectively interact with clients, colleagues, and other professionals
- Knowledge of fair housing regulations and practices to ensure compliance throughout the transaction process
- Organizational skills to manage multiple clients, properties, and transactions simultaneously
- Familiarity with real estate administrative processes such as preparing contracts, listing agreements, and closing documents
- Understanding of the local real estate market to provide accurate information and advice to clients
- Knowledge of real estate law to navigate legal aspects of transactions
