Food Truck Cook / Team Member
About Us:
The Wandering Rooster food truck serves smash burgers, fried favorites, shaved ice and smoothies in Key West. We’re looking for reliable, energetic team members to join us!
Job Overview:
You’ll rotate between cooking, drink prep, and customer service. This includes working the griddle, fryer, shaved ice station, smoothies, and POS system.
Responsibilities:
- Cook and prepare menu items on the griddle and fryer.
- Make shaved ice, smoothies, and boba tea to order.
- Take customer orders and process payments with the POS.
- Keep the truck clean, organized, and stocked.
- Follow food safety and sanitation standards.
- Provide friendly, efficient service to all guests.
Qualifications:
- Food service or cooking experience a plus, but we’ll train the right person.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable, friendly, and a strong team player.
- Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 lbs.
Schedule & Pay:
- Shifts: 10 AM – 7 PM, seven days a week (flexible scheduling).
- Hourly pay + tips.
- Staff meals included.
