Job Summary
We are seeking motivated and customer-oriented Retail Sales Associates to join our team at Smush. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting customers with their purchases, and ensuring a pleasant shopping experience. You will engage with customers to understand their needs, promote products, and maintain the overall presentation of the store.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and help create a safe, comfortable space for open conversation.
- Assist customers in choosing products that suit their preferences and needs with professionalism and discretion.
- Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system for purchases, returns, and cash handling.
- Demonstrate product features (when appropriate), explain benefits, and answer questions with product knowledge and sensitivity.
- Maintain clean, organized displays and ensure all merchandise is properly stocked and presented.
- Upsell and suggest complementary products to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Resolve customer concerns with empathy and a positive attitude.
- Stay informed about new product lines and sexual wellness trends.
- Collaborate with team members to meet sales goals and contribute to a fun, supportive work environment.
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal skills and a nonjudgmental approach to customer service.
- Comfort discussing adult products and topics with a wide variety of customers.
- Experience operating POS systems and handling cash accurately.
- Ability to provide thoughtful, informative product recommendations.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus, especially for engaging with our diverse Key West clientele.
- Previous retail or adult industry experience is helpful but not required.
- Excellent communication skills, both in-person and over the phone.
- Understanding of visual merchandising and stocking practices.
- Must be 18+ and able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 50 per week
