Overview
We are seeking a dedicated, friendly, and detail-oriented Groundskeeper to join our team in Key Largo. We're a busy waterfront wedding venue/vacation rental property, so the job involves raking the beach, caring for plants, as well as helping set up chairs, tables, and other items for weddings. Candidate must be able to lift 50 pd boxes. Basic knowledge of how to use equipment such as golf cart, leaf blowers and pressure washers is required, as well as how to care for plants, check lights, and sprinklers timers. The candidate must be punctual, have reliable transportation, and be able to work both independently and as part of a team.
Duties
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks, including mowing, trimming, edging, watering, and planting
- Operate various power tools and hand tools safely and effectively for gardening and landscaping projects
- Rake beach, clean bathrooms, and collect garbage to place in dumpsters
- Assist with painting and general upkeep of the property
- Assist with the installation of new landscaping features and plantings
- Set up tables, chairs, and other items for weddings & events
Skills:
- Experience with irrigation systems, landscape maintenance, and lawn care preferred
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and gardening equipment
- Ability to operate landscaping machinery safely and efficiently
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
- Physical stamina for outdoor work in various weather conditions
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work independently or as part of a team
- Prior experience with property maintenance, with basic construction or maintenance skills a plus
This position is integral to maintaining a beautiful, picturesque outdoor environment at our waterfront wedding venue in Key Largo.
Pay: From $22.00 per hour
