Duties
- Greet guests warmly with genuine enthusiasm, making them feel instantly at home
- Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Escort guests to their tables, providing menus and answering initial questions about the menu or specials
- Maintain clear communication with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely seating and service
- Handle guest inquiries via phone with professional phone etiquette, providing accurate information and assistance
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the host station and waiting area
- Support guest relations by addressing concerns promptly and courteously, ensuring a positive experience for all visitors
Qualifications
- Prior experience as a host or hostess in food service or restaurant environments preferred
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with guests, team members, and management
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Previous hotel or hospitality experience is advantageous but not required
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Knowledge of guest services, serving etiquette, and restaurant operations is highly desirable
