Overview
We are seeking a dynamic Retail Sales Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sales and customer service, with a focus on watersports. A person who enjoys the water side of things in the Keys - fishing, diving, boating. Being able to talk fishing is a definite plus! You will engage with customers, assist them in finding products, and contribute to the overall success of the store through effective sales techniques and inventory management.
Duties
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Provide information and selling our boating experiences both in person and over the phone.
- Support our boating crews on the dock with customers, supplies, etc.
- Operate cash registers and handle transactions accurately
- Maintain a clean and organized sales floor
- Assist in restocking shelves and monitoring inventory levels
- Meet sales targets and goals set by the store management
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly
Qualifications
- It is important that you have an interest and some knowledge of fishing and/or boating and be able to talk with the customers.
- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service.
- Strong cash register operation skills along with proficiency in POS systems.
- Excellent communication skills with an emphasis on customer service excellence including good phone etiquette.
- Happy to work inside the store as well as outside on the dock.
- Basic knowledge of stock management and inventory control practices.
- A proactive attitude towards supervising others when necessary, fostering teamwork within the store environment.
- This is a pretty active position. Must be comfortable standing and walking around most of the day.
