We are seeking a vigilant and dedicated Armed Security Officer to uphold safety and security across our facilities. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for protecting personnel, property, and assets through proactive surveillance, conflict management, and emergency response. Your expertise in law enforcement, security protocols, and conflict resolution will ensure a secure environment for everyone on site. This position offers an exciting opportunity to serve as a frontline defender while maintaining a professional and approachable presence. THIS IS A 30 day temporary assignment with possible extension. MUST HAVE VAILD G and D licenses. Job starts 4/6 til 5/1
Responsibilities
- Monitor premises using CCTV systems and conduct regular surveillance to detect suspicious activity or security breaches
- Enforce access control procedures by verifying identities and authorizations for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors
- Respond swiftly to incidents or emergencies, providing first aid or CPR when necessary and coordinating with law enforcement or emergency services
- Manage conflicts effectively through conflict management techniques, de-escalating tense situations to maintain safety
- Conduct patrols of the facility’s interior and exterior areas to identify potential security risks or hazards
- Implement loss prevention strategies by observing behaviors that could indicate theft or vandalism
- Complete detailed incident reports, shift logs, and security documentation accurately and promptly
Qualifications
- Proven experience in security roles, law enforcement, military service, or related fields with a strong understanding of security protocols
- Valid certification in first aid and CPR; additional certifications in surveillance or CCTV operation are highly desirable
- Knowledge of conflict management techniques and experience handling difficult situations professionally
- Ability to operate surveillance equipment such as CCTV systems effectively
- Strong communication skills to liaise with emergency responders, law enforcement agencies, and team members
- Demonstrated ability to remain calm under pressure while making quick decisions during emergencies
- Prior experience in loss prevention or security operations is a plus
