Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Painter to join our hotel maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the appearance of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces through high-quality painting and finishing work. Your craftsmanship will play a key role in ensuring a welcoming, well-maintained, and aesthetically pleasing environment that meets brand standards and elevates the guest experience. This position requires efficiency, attention to detail, and the ability to work with minimal disruption to hotel operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, patching, plastering, and caulking to ensure proper paint adhesion and a smooth finish.
- Apply paints, stains, varnishes, and coatings using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment (including airless systems).
- Perform painting and touch-up work in guest rooms, corridors, lobbies, restaurants, and other hotel areas.
- Ensure color consistency and adherence to brand standards across all areas of the property.
- Complete preventive maintenance and respond promptly to work orders related to painting and surface repairs.
- Protect furniture, fixtures, and flooring during painting projects to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Coordinate work schedules to minimize disruption to guests and hotel operations.
- Assist with minor repairs, wall coverings, drywall, and finishing work as needed.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines, including proper handling of chemicals and working at heights when required.
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum 1 year of experience in painting, preferably in hotels, hospitality, or commercial environments
- Strong knowledge of surface preparation, coatings, and finishing techniques.
- Ability to work with a variety of tools, including spray equipment and scaffolding.
- Good understanding of color matching and attention to aesthetic detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic knowledge of maintenance tasks such as drywall repair, caulking, and minor carpentry.
- Flexibility to work varied schedules, including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed.
- Commitment to safety standards and high-quality workmanship.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in hotel or resort maintenance operations.
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs.
- Basic English communication skills
Pay: $21.00 per hour
