- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times
- Support the kitchen team during busy service hours by efficiently managing multiple orders and prioritizing tasks
- Handle food handling responsibilities responsibly, including proper storage, labeling, and rotation of ingredients
- Contribute to menu planning discussions by providing feedback on ingredient availability and dish presentation ideas
- Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with health regulations and safety procedures to promote a safe dining environment
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or related roles within restaurants or the food industry
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Experience with dietary department or dietary aide roles is a plus, demonstrating an understanding of special dietary needs
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward serving guests and supporting colleagues
