Position Overview
We are currently seeking a Part-time Public Housing Inspector to join our team. As a Part-time Housing inspector, you will inspect all Section 8 properties and/or potential properties as identified by Gilson Inspection Services for our Client in Key West, FL.
The incumbent is responsible for performing initial inspections, special inspections, and maintenance checks for repairs of housing, apartments, and other residences.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Inspects properties for compliance with all applicable regulations and policies, including those of Housing and Urban Development (“HUD”), Housing Quality Standards (“HQS”) local building codes and zoning ordinances.
Gilson Inspection Services will provide Section 8 Inspection Training for the Inspector that is hired. The number of hours per day or days per week that are scheduled can be flexible. Section 8 Inspection experience is not mandatory but is a plus. Bi-lingual is a plus but not required.
During training the applicant must:
- Learn all GSCC mobile Inspection apps, software, and web software
- Learn all aspects of the Public Housing and Affordable Housing industry

- In order to fulfill the requirements for this job position, having car insurance coverage is mandatory.

Pay: $21.00 - $36.00 per hour

- 8 hour shift
