Overview:
Seeking a Housekeeper for clothing and laundry. We have once per week professional cleaners for the home. This housekeeping job would focus on yes light cleaning of the house but most importantly -- ironing, folding and hanging laundry. It is particularly important to properly iron linen shirts and pants. The ideal candidate will have experience in ironing and folding and organizing clothing and other housekeeping.
Duties:
- Wash and iron and press or fold and properly organize clothing and the like.
- Perform lighter cleaning and floor care between once a week visits from our cleaning company.
- Manage and maintain a clean and organized set of housekeeping supplies.
- Provide exceptional service .
- Be a nice person with a pleasant demeanor.
- Maintain knowledge of fabrics to be ironed and best methods to organize clothes in a busy home.
- Work effectively.
- Sanitize and disinfect all surfaces, equipment, and furniture from time to time.
- Perform other cleaning tasks as needed.
- For more hours, if desired, perhaps Cook meals in the kitchen as required but this is not an absolute duty and not mandatory to secure the job but may be a method to distinguish between competing applicants.
Requirements:
- Prior experience in cleaning and housekeeping and most importantly, ironing.
- Background in home care.
- Excellent demeanor and personality.
- Ability to work independently and sometimes as part of a team.
- Ability to follow instructions and maintain a high level of cleanliness and organization.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines and prioritizing tasks.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $31.00 per hour
