Job Overview:
As a Reimbursement Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the healthcare industry by ensuring accurate and timely reimbursement for medical services provided. Your expertise in medical coding and billing systems will be essential in facilitating proper reimbursement processes.
Schedule:
Mon-Fri 7am-7pm (Shifts)
Duties:
-Determines patient’s eligibility and conducts patient enrollment activities (example patient assistance programs and copay assistance)
-Performs reimbursement related activities such as benefit investigations, prior authorizations, appeals, etc.
-Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers; resolves any customer requests in a timely and accurate manner; escalates complaints accordingly
-Maintain frequent phone contact with patients, provider representatives, third party customer service representatives and pharmacy staff
-Provides reimbursement information to providers and/or patients
Experience:
- Prior experience in medical coding, billing, or reimbursement
- Proficiency in utilizing medical coding systems and software
- Familiarity with medical record documentation and collection processes
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in coding practices
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with healthcare providers and insurance companies
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
