- Implement resort/marina safety and emergency policies and procedures (i.e. evacuation, first aid, etc.) to include removing all safety hazards, following OSHA Hazcom program and safe lifting techniques.
- Utilize protective equipment, when applicable.
- Promptly report accidents, injuries, property damage or loss to supervisor
- Promptly report substandard (unsafe) conditions to supervisor.
- Keep accurate communication flowing freely among all hotel departments.
- Inform management promptly of any work-related problems or guest complaints.
- Maintain professional, amicable relationships with all resort departments, managers, and staff, as well as vendors, and community and professional contacts.
- Promote excellent guest service throughout the resort by demonstrating friendly, courteous and helpful attitudes toward all guests.
- Attend all scheduled training classes and meetings.
Qualifications:
- Able to bend, reach, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds on a regular and continuous basis with or without an accommodation.
- Able to stand for long periods of time and move from area to area in the kitchen.
- Able to perform functions such as mopping, sweeping and scrubbing using repetitive motions of the arms and upper body.
- Able to tolerate hot/cold temperatures for long periods of time.
- Able to tolerate exposure to chemicals using supplied safety equipment; e.g. rubber gloves.
- Able to communicate in English, preferably bilingual.
