Summary: Performs airport administrative work as delegated by Airport Management. Accepts reservations according to the airport policies and advises customers of operational restrictions, closures, etc. Maintains a professional approach and atmosphere to best serve Members and Guests
Essential Duties and responsibilities In addition to the following duties and responsibilities, other duties may be assigned:
Complies with and enforces airport, ORCA, State and Federal rules and regulations
Monitors airport weather and provides pilots with assessments of existing conditions and trends
Ensures each pilot is aware of airport operating procedures and advises whenever there may be a potential conflict
Keeping accurate daily logs of aircraft activity including arrivals, departures, overnight parking and any irregularities, concerns or complaints
- Keeps Airport Managers informed of events and activities of an unusual nature as well as routine matters related to accountability through meetings and other correspondence
- Performs clerical office work as directed, including use of Microsoft Office programs, Visual One, fax, scanners and copying machines
- Actively ensures the proper billing information is recorded for fees and merchandise
- Audits all transactions and fuel sales on a daily basis to check for missing records
Schedules reservations, prepares and responds to e-mails and correspondence
Ensures each airport user has a current and complete airport registration package on file
Explains airport use to members, pilots, passengers, and guests
- Performs light cleaning to maintain office and terminal in a presentable atmosphere
- Expresses ideas effectively in individual and group situations (including nonverbal communication).
- Listens to and adjusts language, approach and terminology to the expectations and needs of the audience.

Ability to work independently without supervision, troubleshoot minor problems and initiate emergency actions
General knowledge of aviation regulations, aircraft performance, meteorology and the phonetic alphabet
Possess current state drives license
General resort/private club or customer service background
Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
Reception, billing and computer skills are a must
Education and/or Experience
High school diploma required. One or two years of experience in clerical or related field is preferred.
Language
Must be able to comprehend and speak the English language in order to fully understand job assignments; communicate with co-workers, members, guests, and pilots.

- Must be able to work a flexible schedule that can include weekends and Holidays and have the ability to accept scheduling adjustments due to changing workload demands between 7am 10pm
- Must be able to work with all types of paints and chemicals, including aviation fuels
