We are seeking a passionate and skilled Baker Assistant to join our team. Duties
- Prepare and bake a variety of infused pastries, cupcakes, and other baked goods according to established recipes.
- Ensure all food handling procedures are followed to maintain safety and sanitation standards.
- Decorate cakes and pastries with artistic designs to enhance presentation.
- Package baked goods for display or customer orders while ensuring quality and freshness.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food production schedules and meet customer demands.
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about products and taking special orders.
- Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen area, including equipment, utensils, and work surfaces.
- Monitor inventory levels of baking ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Baker Assistant or in a similar role within a restaurant or catering environment.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety standards.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Excellent cake decorating skills are preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with customers.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings or weekends as needed.
