Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled General Maintenance professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of facilities. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. The General Maintenance position is essential in maintaining a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for all.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections of facilities and equipment to identify maintenance needs.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, and other building systems.
- Execute residential painting tasks as needed to maintain aesthetic standards.
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking work orders and inventory.
- Read and interpret schematics and blueprints to understand repair requirements.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests from staff or residents.
- Lead small teams on specific projects or repairs when necessary, ensuring quality workmanship.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas and tools.
Skills
- Proficient in reading schematics and technical drawings.
- Experience with CMMS for efficient maintenance management.
- Strong command of English for effective communication with team members and clients.
- Excellent customer service skills to address inquiries and concerns professionally.
- Knowledge of logic controllers for troubleshooting automated systems.
- Solid electrical skills with the ability to perform basic repairs safely.
- Experience in residential painting techniques and applications.
- Background in facilities maintenance with a focus on preventive care.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain accurate records of work performed.
- Leadership qualities to guide team members during projects or training sessions.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
