JOB SUMMARY:
Historic Key West Vacation Rentals is seeking a friendly, service-oriented front desk agent to join our busy office. In this position, you greet guests, complete check-ins and check out's for vacation rental properties, answer calls, assist with inspections as needed, utilize business software systems to perform duties, and address guests’ questions and concerns. Outstanding interpersonal communication skills are necessary for success in this position.
Front Desk/Guest Services Agent Job Duties and Responsibilities
· Greet guests with a welcoming smile and friendly demeanor
· Perform all guest check-in and check-out procedures
· Obtain or confirm guest information, distribute keys and disseminate check in and check out procedures, etc.
· Answer phones and direct calls to appropriate personnel
· Check and send emails and texts
· Make and confirm reservations
· Maintain a clean and tidy workspace at all times
· Inform guests of HKWVR property amenities and offerings
· Be informed and up-to-date on all types of property accommodations and availability
· Communicate effectively with all departments as necessary
· Provide information on local restaurants, special sites, activities, etc.
· Resolve customer complaints and problems calmly and effectively
· Notify management of any serious issues that you cannot resolve
· Store and retrieve luggage and valuables as needed according to protocol
· Assist with and book tours and activities for guests as needed
· Maintain a friendly, personable disposition
· Perform various clerical tasks as needed
Front Desk Agent/Guest Services Agent Requirements and Qualifications
· High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
· Previous experience in customer service and/or hospitality industry preferred
· Experience using Escapia and Breezeway software a plus but not required
· Computer proficiency using Microsoft applications
· Personable and outgoing when dealing with guests
· Professional phone demeanor
· Ability to maintain calm, polite, and patient in stressful situations
· Organized and detail-oriented
· Ability to connect with guests and consistently give them a positive customer experience
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
