Dean’s Professional Services is now hiring qualified, patient-care-focused Phlebotomists to work in a Lab Facility in Key West, FL.
The Phlebotomist is responsible for drawing quality blood samples from patients and preparing those specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures.
Job Responsibilities:
· Collect blood samples from patients for medical testing or donation.
· Must ensure they take the correct amount of blood and that the patient is comfortable during the procedure.
· Label and store blood samples to help doctors diagnose and treat patients.
· Verify patient information before drawing blood.
· Assemble and maintain equipment such as needles, test tubes, and blood vials.
· Perform verification of patient demographic info/initials, including patient signature, post-venipuncture to verify that tubes were labeled in their presence and that the name on the label is correct.
· Maintains required records and documentation.
· Demonstrates organizational commitment and promotes a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public in general.
Job Requirements:
· High school diploma or equivalent – Required.
· Phlebotomy Certification – Preferred
· One (+) years of phlebotomy experience – Required
· Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training – Preferred
· Customer service in a retail or service environment - Preferred
· Keyboard/data entry experience – Required
Job Details:
· Schedule: Monday – Friday 6:30 am – 2:30 pm
· Starting at $18/hr. (Based on experience)
