Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers and assisting them with their shopping needs.
- Operate the POS system efficiently for processing sales transactions, returns, and exchanges.
- Engage in upselling techniques to enhance the customer experience and increase sales.
- Conduct product demonstrations to educate customers about features and benefits.
- Maintain store appearance through effective merchandising and stocking of products.
- Ensure that all products are accurately priced and displayed according to company standards.
- Handle cash transactions responsibly while adhering to cash handling procedures.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting discrepancies.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the store to create an inviting atmosphere.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management to ensure smooth operations.
Requirements
- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and performing retail math calculations.
- Experience with POS systems is highly desirable.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also taking initiative when needed.
- Supervising experience is a plus for potential leadership opportunities.
- Familiarity with grocery store operations is advantageous but not required.
