Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Manager to lead our retail fishing shops with enthusiasm and expertise. Responsibilities
- Supervise store operations, including opening and closing procedures, inventory control, and cash handling to ensure smooth daily functions.
- Manage staff scheduling, training, and development to build a motivated and knowledgeable team capable of delivering outstanding customer service.
- Oversee purchasing, pricing strategies, merchandising, and inventory management to maximize sales opportunities and maintain stock accuracy.
- Provide expert guidance on fishing gear, tackle, bait, and outdoor equipment to enhance customer satisfaction and foster repeat business.
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and ensure a welcoming shopping experience for all visitors.
- Maintain store cleanliness, organization, safety standards, and compliance with company policies at all times.
- Utilize POS systems for sales transactions, inventory updates, and financial record-keeping with precision.
Experience
- Proven management experience in retail environments, preferably in outdoor or sporting goods stores with supervising responsibilities.
- Strong background in retail math including pricing strategies, budgeting, sales management, and inventory control.
- Demonstrated skills in employee orientation, interviewing, recruiting, training & development to cultivate high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases effectively.
- Experience with POS systems, cashiering procedures, cash handling protocols, and bookkeeping practices.
- Familiarity with merchandising techniques specific to outdoor gear or fishing equipment is advantageous.
- Previous experience in shift management, marketing initiatives, stock replenishment is highly desirable.
