The Palms Hotel is a 32-Unit Guest House located on White St, we are seeking a friendly and reliable Bartender to join our team for afternoon shifts. This role typically runs from 1–6pm or 2–7pm, depending on the season, and focuses on serving guests as they stop by for drinks before heading out to their sunset and evening plans. The ideal candidate enjoys guest interaction, works efficiently, and helps create a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Take drink orders and serve beverages to customers
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks according to recipes and customer preferences
- Check identification to verify legal drinking age
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area
- Handle cash transactions and operate a cash register
- Monitor customer behavior and ensure responsible alcohol consumption
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations
Qualifications:
-Applicants must be 21 years of age or older, as required by Florida law for the pouring, selling, or handling of alcoholic beverages.
- Previous experience in the hospitality industry, preferably as a bartender
- Knowledge of basic math for cash handling purposes
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to create a positive experience for guests
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask
- Familiarity with different types of alcoholic beverages, brewing methods, and cocktail recipes is a plus
