Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and highly skilled 50-ton Fishing Captain to lead our fishing vessel operations with enthusiasm and expertise. As the captain, you will be responsible for navigating, managing crew, ensuring safety protocols, and maximizing fishing efficiency. Your leadership will drive the success of our fishing expeditions while maintaining the highest standards of safety, mechanical integrity, and operational excellence. Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all aspects of vessel navigation, ensuring safe passage during fishing trips in compliance with maritime regulations.
- Oversee crew management, including assigning duties, training new team members, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Oversee maintenance of fishing gear and vessel equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Apply mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and repair engine systems, and other vessel components as needed.
- Coordinate fishing operations efficiently.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, emergency procedures, and environmental regulations at all times.
- Maintain detailed logs of voyage activities, safety checks, maintenance records, and catch data for reporting purposes.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a fishing captain or in a similar maritime leadership role.
- Strong management skills with the ability to lead a diverse crew effectively under demanding conditions.
- Mechanical knowledge related to marine engines, rigging systems, and vessel maintenance.
- Familiar with safety standards specific to charter fishing vessels.
- Excellent navigation skills with knowledge of maritime charts, weather interpretation, and route planning.

Pay: $245.00 - $530.00 per day
