Job Description
Sloppy Joe's Bar is hiring part-time and full-time Entry/ Crowd Control & Safety team members to join the action at one of the busiest and most iconic bars in Key West.
This is a late-night, high-energy role for someone who enjoys people, music, and being right in the middle of the party — while helping keep things safe and running smoothly.
Shifts: 8:00 PM until close (usually 2:00–3:00 AM)
Pay: Starting at $19/hour + quarterly bonuses
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Checking IDs and managing guest entry
- Maintaining a safe, fun environment for guests and staff
- Keeping an eye on the crowd and stepping in when needed
- Supporting bar staff during busy evening/ late night hours
- Being a visible, approachable presence on the floor
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong people skills and good judgment
- Comfortable standing and walking for most of your shift
- Calm, sound judgment in fast-paced situations
- A team-first mindset with attention to safety and detail
Prior experience in military, law enforcement, hospitality, or nightlife environments is helpful but not required. We provide on-the-job guidance to set you up for success.
Requirements:
- 21+ years old
- Must currently live locally
- Background check required
