Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Groundskeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the beauty and functionality of our outdoor spaces. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a passion for landscape maintenance. The Groundskeeper will play a vital role in ensuring that our grounds are well-kept, safe, and inviting for all visitors.
Duties
- Perform regular lawn care activities including mowing, edging, and fertilizing to maintain healthy grass.
- Conduct landscape maintenance tasks such as planting, pruning, and mulching to enhance the aesthetic appeal of the grounds.
- Operate and maintain hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Irrigate gardens and landscaped areas to ensure proper hydration for plants.
- Clear debris from walkways, gardens, and other outdoor areas to maintain cleanliness.
- Monitor plant health and report any issues such as pests or diseases to management.
- Assist with seasonal preparations including snow removal in winter months if applicable.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
Requirements
- Previous experience in groundskeeping or landscape maintenance is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of lawn care techniques and landscape design principles is a plus.
- Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely.
- Strong physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor for extended periods.
- Attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and aesthetics.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- A valid driver’s license may be required for transportation between job sites.
