Wesley House Family Services is a nationally accredited not-for-profit organization dedicated to protecting and nurturing children and strengthening families with services spanning Monroe County, Florida. Social services provided by WHFS include: Full case management, Intensive preservation services, Enhanced-in-home services, Intensive family reunification services, Prevention & intervention services, Foster care & adoption services, Health families Monroe and Inez martin child development center.
Training Coordinator will be doing-
- Develop, implement, and deliver training programs for Agency staff, foster parents and community partners.
- Obtain and maintain required Train the Trainer certification for CARE (or other state or lead agency specified) curriculum.
- Acts as a backup for licensing to deliver CARE (or other state or lead agency specified) training for potential foster parents within the Monroe County Service area.
- Obtain and maintain required Train the Trainer certification for case management pre-service curriculum.
- Obtain and maintain FA/CPR/AED training certification
- Provide pre-service training to Full Case Management staff utilizing the State approved curriculum.
- Provide case management training on specific topics including but not limited to:
- Home studies,
- Psychotropic medications
- Exit interviews,
- Critical incident reports
- Movement and Action forms,
- FSFN/CCWIS
- Provide agency wide training on specific topics but not limited to:
- De-escalation
- FA/CPR/AED
- Mandatory Reporting
- Family Engagement
- Provide ongoing coaching and field supervision as needed for staff.
- Prepare and provide training and coaching feedback forms for pre-service participants and coaching recipients.
- Develop and maintain continual education support materials to assist the Community Based Care (CBC) departments.
- Assist with the development and implementation of an annual training plan based on the needs of the agency.
- Consult with the Directors and Supervisors agency wide to assess training needs and develop programs to match these needs. Continually evaluate procedures to monitor and analyze course effectiveness and update curriculum as needed.
- Complies with Wesley House Personnel and Finance policies, Ethical Standards and Wesley House Confidentiality requirements.
- Meet all Counsel on Accreditation standards and requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
The successful Training Coordinator candidate will have-
- Bachelor’s degree in education or related field required.
- Child welfare experience required, Florida Certification Board certification as a child welfare case manager strongly preferred.
- Legacy credential as a Florida Certification Board certified child welfare trainer preferred.
- Demonstrate independent decision making and flexible scheduling.
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
- Ability to travel within Monroe County and southern Miami-Dade County.
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrate use of technology in daily work activities.
- Demonstrate proficient use of software programs such as Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Physically Active Work. Exerts up to 15 Lbs. of force and/or lifting occasionally
- Valid Florida Driver’s License.
- Valid Florida Auto Insurance.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
