Position Summary:
The Lobby Attendant is responsible for cleaning, sanitation and safety of the front lobby area
and other public areas of the hotel.
Core Responsibilities:
Ensure the entire front lobby is clean and presentable for the guest
Immediately respond to and correct any potential safety conditions such as a wet floor
due to guests tracking in rain or snow
Clean pool area and restrooms
Clean all public restrooms and stock all necessary items
Empty the trash from all offices, including the Sales, Executive and Front offices.
Clean, dust, mop, vacuum and polish the lobby area including ashtrays, furniture, house
phones, wall fixtures, plants, vending machines, glass and windows
Greet guests in a courteous fashion
Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
High work ethic and self-initiative
Regular attendance according to established guidelines
May be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the property
Focus and maintain attention to tasks, and complete work assignments on time despite
frequent interruptions
Ability to maintain excellent relationships with staff and maintain staff and guest
confidentiality at all times
Ability to follow direction given in Material Safety Data Sheets, and perform work in a
safe and efficient manner
Physical Requirements:
Stand and walk for varying lengths of time, often long periods of time
Bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill cleaning requirements
Inspect areas for cleanliness and immediately report guest belongings that have been left
behind
Lift approximately thirty (30) pounds of equipment or supplies on and off a cart, using
safe lifting techniques
Push heavy carts of approximately one hundred (100) pounds
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
