Florida Keys Electric, Inc. is a Premier Electrical Contractor providing electrical, low voltage, and fire alarm services throughout Key West and the Florida Keys. We have two offices located in Key West, FL and Marathon, FL.
We are looking for an Electrical Estimator to join our team and provide accurate estimates for our projects.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with general contractors, engineers, architects, and subcontractors to ensure accurate and comprehensive estimates.
- Review project plans and specifications to determine project scope and requirements.
- Perform quantity takeoffs for labor, materials, and equipment.
- Develop estimates for labor, materials, and equipment costs.
- Prepare estimates and detailed proposals for the cost of projects (Electrical, Low Voltage, and Fire Alarm).
- Attends field/site walk-throughs with customer, owner, and construction personnel as needed.
- Prepares RFI’s and bid clarifications when required.
- Makes follow-up calls to check status of bids.
Qualifications & Skills Required:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical estimating.
- Strong knowledge of electrical materials, methods, and techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical construction plans and specifications.
- Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
