Description:
The Primary Care APP provides care to the outpatient population via face-to-face or via telehealth and other communication devices. The APP performs patient assessments, H & Ps, and takes a thorough medical history. The APP can order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests. The APP develops medical diagnoses, appropriate treatment plan, prescribes medical regimen, and educates patients/family regarding diagnosis and plan of care. May perform approved procedures and order medications as indicated in the Delineation of Privileges. The APP works directly with physicians, staff, administration, patients and families to ensure quality of care across the health system. The APP is a clinical team leader that intervenes and manages deteriorating patients. The APP integrates evidence-based practice and technological advances into their scope of practice. The APP may participate in research initiatives, data collection, quality improvement, discharge planning, and coordination of patient care within the area of practice. The APP participates in and facilitates patient throughput, optimal patient outcomes, optimal length of stay and improved patient satisfaction. The APP sees patients more frequently to reduce hospital admissions and less use of the ED services.
Estimated salary range for this position is $101054.38 - $134402.33 / year depending on experience.
Qualifications:
Qualified APRNs will require:
Masters Degree and Valid Florida APRN License . BLS certification required. Compliant with state of Florida requirements for CEUs and licensure. DEA License required as per specialty/function. ACLS-Advanced Cardiac Life Support required as per specialty/function. Nurse Practitioner National Certification required. Obtain medical staff credentialing and privileges as needed for practice location. 3 years of relevant nursing experience.
Qualified PAs will require:Associated Degree (Masters Degree preferred), Valid Florida PA License, NCCPA Certification, DEA License, BLS Certification, ACLS Certification. Must obtain medical staff credentialing and privileges. Must be compliant with state requirements for CEUs and licensure renewal. No experience required.
