Islamorada Brewery & Distillery is hiring a distillery worker. The position combines pouring free samples of the spirits, describing the distilling process, and selling bottles to guests. You must be comfortable talking to people in a "tasting room" environment, with an engaging and fun personality. As this is currently a slow season there will also be plenty of cleaning and other downtime activities.
Shifts can be all day (11am-8pm) or partial split. Some weekend shifts are to be expected.
Applicants should be 21+ because the position involves a close understanding of alcoholic beverages. Training on the products will be provided but general familiarity with various liquors and knowledge of cocktails is preferable.
You must be physically able to lift cases, restock from a step ladder, and stand for long periods.
Tips are earned in addition to the hourly rate.
