Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Tour Guide to join our team. As a Tour Guide, you will be responsible for leading groups of visitors through various attractions, providing them with engaging and informative narratives about the history, culture, and significance of the sites. Your role is crucial in creating memorable experiences for our guests while ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the tour.
Tip Pay: on average customers tip 15%-25% so tips range from $250-$750 a week depending on how busy we are. Pay is by electronic deposit fixed weekly pay plus tips.

2. Job Duties and Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead safe and enjoyable jet ski tours.
- Provide educational and entertaining commentary during tours.
- Ensure compliance with local boating and safety laws.
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Conduct pre- and post-tour equipment inspections. Upload 2 photos to google drive front and back of each Jet ski prior daily tours and at the end of daily tours.
- Assist guests with safety gear and equipment.
- Respond to customer inquiries, reservations, walk ups and concerns.
3. Equipment and Safety Protocols
Equipment Overview:
- Jet skis: operation basics and safety features.
- Life jackets, whistles, and communication radios.
- Emergency kits and first aid supplies.
Safety Protocols:
- Always wear a life jacket & attach the engine kill switch lanyard while on the water.
- Familiarize yourself with local watercraft laws.
- Use proper hand signals and communication devices to ensure group safety.
4. Tour Preparation
Pre-Shift Preparation:
- Inspect all jet skis before your tour.
- Check fuel, engine oil, throttle, 1-2 minute water test on the water per machine and overall functionality.
- Set up all necessary equipment and safety gear.
Customer Greeting:
- Greet guests warmly and check them in.
- Ensure liability waivers are signed.
- Assist guests with proper fitting of life jackets and offer wetsuits.
5. Tour Execution
Pre-Tour Briefing:
- Explain the route, expected stops, and points of interest.
- Provide a demonstration on jet ski operation.
- Emphasize group riding etiquette: maintain spacing, follow the guide, and avoid reckless driving. Leading the Tour:
- Monitor the group and maintain a safe speed.
- Share interesting facts about landmarks and marine life.
- Regularly check for signs of trouble or discomfort among guests.
Stopping Points:
- Account for all guests before resuming.
- Allow time for rest and photos and allow guests to communicate their current comfort level.
6. Emergency Procedures
- Falling Off a Jet Ski: Instruct guests to stay calm, reboard safely, and assist if needed.
- Equipment Malfunctions: Use the tow rope and call for backup assistance.
- Injuries: Provide first aid and contact emergency services as needed. Upon arrival at the dock, inform the manager on duty or the owner. Then fill the correct Insurance required paperwork and make sure the injured party reads and signs theirs.
- Unexpected Extreme Weather: Escort guests back to the dock or a safe location immediately. Call for backup assistance if necessary.
7. Customer Service Expectations
- Be polite, patient, and approachable at all times.
- Communicate instructions clearly and confidently.
- Handle complaints or concerns professionally and promptly.
- Encourage positive feedback and reviews from guests.
8. Maintenance Responsibilities
- Clean and inspect jet skis daily.
- Report any mechanical issues to the maintenance team.
- Ensure all safety gear is cleaned and stored properly.

9. Post-Tour Wrap-Up
- Collect all life jackets and other provided gear, rinse and hang to dry..
- Thank guests for joining the tour and encourage feedback.
- Inspect jet skis for damages or issues after the tour.
- Restock and prepare equipment for the next group.
10. Policies and Regulations
- Follow all local and federal watercraft regulations.
- Never operate equipment under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
- Abide by the company’s dress code and appearance standards.
- Report equipment damage, injuries, or incidents immediately.
