MAINTENANCE
Technical electrical motor troubleshooting and/or repair. H.V.A.C. and refrigeration troubleshooting and/or repair. Technical plumbing troubleshooting and/or repair. Minor Carpentry. Use all power tools safely, including pressure washers and compressors. Repairs may include gas-fired equipment repair or door lock repairs as well as repair of electronic equipment to include all office and audiovisual equipment. Respond to all Guest Requests quickly attentively. Respond to all emergencies or life-threatening situations. Follow established safety procedures. Log and communicate all essential information in the Akia Communication Flatform. Move various objects for relocation and/or access. Maintain complete knowledge of hotel fire systems, well water system, septic system, and irrigation system. Participate in and support hotel and company efforts towards sustainability and environmental initiatives as part of the Go Green Program.
MAINTENANCE DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Preventative Maintenance:
- Regularly inspecting equipment and systems to identify potential issues before they become major problems.
- Performing routine cleaning and lubrication of machinery.
- Checking safety systems like fire alarms, validity of smoke detectors.
- Repair and Maintenance:
- Fixing minor plumbing issues like leaky faucets or clogged drains.
- Addressing electrical problems like faulty wiring or malfunctioning outlets
- Repairing minor carpentry issues like loose doors or damaged trim
- Replacing light bulbs and other expendable parts.
- Facility Upkeep:
- Cleaning common areas, floors, and windows
- Maintaining ground by mowing lawns, weeding, and removing debris
- Managing trash disposal and recycling
- Inventory Management:
- Tracking and ordering maintenance supplies and parts
- Maintaining proper storage of tools and equipment
- Reporting and Documentation:
- Logging maintenance activities and repairs
- Identifying critical maintenance needs and reporting them to management
Depending on the specific role, a maintenance worker may also be responsible for:
- Complex repairs: Troubleshooting and fixing more advanced mechanical, electrical, or HVAC issues
- Project management: Coordinating larger maintenance projects with Manager and or contractors.
- Budgeting: Monitoring maintenance costs and staying within budget constraints
- Safety compliance: Ensuring adherence to safety protocols while performing maintenance tasks.
Flexibility: to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays. Eden House operates 365 days a year, 24/7. Flexibility is a must!
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 25 per week
