Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Residential Trainer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities in a group home setting. This position involves assisting residents with daily living activities, promoting independence, and ensuring a safe and nurturing environment. Responsibilities
- Provide direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities in daily living activities.
- Assist residents with meal preparation, ensuring nutritional needs are met.
- Facilitate engaging activities that promote social interaction and skill development.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment for all residents.
- Document and report any changes in residents' behavior or health status.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Drive residents to appointments or community activities as needed.
- Support residents in managing personal hygiene and grooming tasks.
- Foster an atmosphere of respect, dignity, and encouragement for all individuals.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a group home, nursing home, retirement home, or similar setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of direct support practices for individuals with developmental disabilities is highly desirable.
- Experience in dementia care or home care is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with residents and their families.
- Ability to assist residents with meal preparation and other daily living tasks.
- Valid driver's license is required for driving responsibilities.

- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.

Job Type: Contract
Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
