Emergency Room / Urgent Care Doctor (KEY WEST)
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Emergency Medicine Physician / Urgent Care Physician to join our team. This role is ideal for physicians who enjoy treating a wide variety of acute conditions without the demands of a traditional ER setting, or corporate micro-management.
We are the number one urgent care in Key West with CT, lab, and digital X-ray on-site, and MRI available daily in Marathon.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with acute illnesses and minor injuries
- Perform procedures such as suturing, splinting, incision and drainage, and basic wound care
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests (e.g., X-rays, labs, EKGs)
- Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality care
- Provide patient education and discharge instructions
- Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation
- Full-time or part-time available
- Must have at least 2 years of ER experience
- Positive attitude and the ability to remain calm under pressure is essential
Qualifications
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine
- Active and unrestricted medical license in Florida
- Current DEA registration
- BLS and ACLS certification required (PALS preferred)
- Minimum 1–2 years of clinical experience in emergency or urgent care settings preferred
