About the Role
We are a growing construction services company in Southwest Florida seeking an experienced Permit Coordinator to own and manage all permitting activity across our projects.
In addition to permitting duties, this person will provide direct administrative support to the company owner, helping with daily operational tasks. If you are highly organized, deadline-driven, and thrive in a fast-paced construction environment, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
Permitting (Primary)
- Manage all permit applications, submittals, and approvals across multiple active projects simultaneously
- Prepare, organize, and submit permit packages to city, county, and state agencies
- Track permit status, respond to agency comments/corrections, and follow up proactively to keep projects on schedule
- Coordinate inspections and maintain accurate permit logs and expiration tracking
- Build and maintain relationships with local permitting offices and inspectors
- Stay current on permitting requirements across Southwest Florida jurisdictions
- Manage permit documentation in project management software
Administrative Support (Secondary)
- Provide daily administrative support directly to the company owner
- Support special projects and operational tasks as directed
Qualifications
Required:
- 2+ years of permitting experience in construction or a related industry in Florida
- Strong knowledge of Florida permitting processes and regulatory agencies
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines simultaneously
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Reliable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented
