Boater's World Marine Centers is seeking enthusiastic, detail-oriented, and customer-focused individuals to join our team as Marine Sales and Parts Consultant at our Islamorada, FL location. This pivotal and diverse role in our Sales and Parts Departments significantly enhances the overall customer experience by assisting customers with purchasing boats, motors, trailers, and parts while delivering exceptional customer service. Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Sales Functions:
Perform all aspects of the Sales Process and ensure customer satisfaction.
Use all available resources to attain product knowledge for all brands represented.
Maintain a steady flow of customer interactions and inquiries using the company approved Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
Enter customer information, unit characteristics, and pricing data into the Dealer Management System (DMS) to provide accurate quotes and buyer’s agreements.
Build relationships with customers by providing a customer-centric experience.
Offer to sell complimentary and add-on items to customers, striving to increase profit per customer working closely with the Finance and Service Departments.
Inform management of customer service opportunities and explore ways to add value.
Assist management with creating accurate and attractive website listings.
Utilize social media to promote dealership product and service offerings.
Parts Functions:
Receive, label, and assign parts and accessories into the Lightspeed DMS.
Ensure accurate entry of costs and quantities of parts into the Lightspeed DMS.
Label and assign stock parts to the correct bin location and service parts to the correct repair order (RO).
Notify the Service Department of parts arrival and stage them for processing.
Label Special Order (SO) parts, notify customers of arrival, and stage them for pick-up.
Package and create tracking labels for outbound parts shipments.
Process parts returns to manufacturers according to guidelines.
Perform weekly cycle counts and perpetual inventory tasks to maintain inventory accuracy.
Work closely with the Accounting Department to maintain accurate inventory counts and costs.
Assist internal and external customers in finding parts and accessories quickly and accurately.
Customer Service:
Provide a warm and genuine greeting to every customer.
Inquire how you may assist every customer and actively engage with them.
Promptly answer incoming telephone calls, provide information, and transfer calls using best practices.
Maintain a professional appearance and a tidy workspace suitable for public view.
Maintain a pleasantly outgoing demeanor that encourages positive customer rapport.
Other Duties:
Process and submit vendor orders as required by the Parts Department Manager.
Stock shelves as required by the inventory plan.
Process daily reports, including occasional closing till reconciliation.
Accept ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and explore opportunities to add value.
Requirements:
Knowledge of marine industry/boating preferred
Minimum of 1 year experience with receiving and shipping inventory items into a DMS, preferably in a retail environment.
High school diploma.
Team-oriented, flexible, and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service.
Basic computer skills with experience in Microsoft Office preferred.
Strong attention to detail and basic mathematical skills.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to turn an upset customer into a champion of the organization.
Strong desire to build relationships and create positive interactions with others.
Maintain a neat and professional appearance.
A passion for the boating industry and a willingness to learn.
Working Conditions:
Retail environment.
Saturday shifts required.
May be required to work more than 40 hours.
Physical Requirements:
Extensive use of viewing a computer monitor and using a keyboard.
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Ability to lift, pull, or push at least 40 pounds.
Routinely kneel, bend over, and reach high or low shelves.
