Responsibilities
- Provide daily care for animals including feeding, watering, cleaning kennels, and monitoring health status.
- Handle dogs and other pets safely using proper animal restraint techniques to ensure safety for both animals and staff.
- Assist with dog training activities to promote good behavior and socialization skills.
- Perform pet grooming tasks such as bathing, brushing, and basic trimming to maintain cleanliness and comfort.
- Support veterinary team members with animal handling during medical procedures or examinations.
- Conduct pet sitting duties for overnight or extended stays, ensuring pets are comfortable and cared for at all times.
- Maintain detailed records of animal care activities, health observations, and kennel sanitation routines to ensure compliance with safety standards.
Requirements
- Prior experience in dog handling, kennel work, or animal care is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of pet grooming techniques and basic veterinary procedures is a plus.
- Experience with dog training or veterinary technician assistance is beneficial.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary to move supplies or assist with animals.
- Strong animal handling skills with an understanding of animal restraint and safety protocols.
- Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members.
