Description:
The Security Officer's purpose is to support the Administration of Baptist Health South Florida with the provision of a safe and secure environment for the care of patients and the peaceful and orderly operation of business throughout all entities serviced. The Security Officer needs to be proficient in all aspects as a BHSF security officer as provided for and by the BHSF security training program and able to work independently with little or no supervision. Estimated pay range for this position is $16.00 - $18.84 / hour depending on experience.
Qualifications:
Degrees:
- High School Diploma, Certificate of Attendance, Certificate of Completion, GED, or equivalent training or experience required.
Licenses & Certifications:
- Basic Life Support.
- Drivers License from Florida.
Additional Qualifications:
- Experience in the field of security with a preference in a hospital setting.
- Law enforcement or military experience desired.
- Required to complete BHSF security training program before the completion of their probationary period and supplemental training classes as they are offered.
- BLS certification must be obtained within first 90 days of employment.
