Traffic Signal Technician – Miami-Dade, FL
Position Overview:
Conti Corporation is seeking an experienced Traffic Signal Technician to join our Miami-Dade team. This role involves the installation, programming, integration, and maintenance of advanced traffic signal systems and related technologies. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with traffic control components and a strong understanding of local specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, program, integrate, and maintain traffic signal components, including:
- Detection Systems
- Traffic Signals
- Edge-Computing Technology
- Emergency Vehicle Preemption
- Transit Signal Priority
- Adaptive Traffic Signal Control
- Communications Networks
- Transportation Safety Solutions
- Cabinets and UPS systems
- Perform maintenance and troubleshooting for traffic signal controllers and cabinets.
- Diagnose and repair wiring issues in cabinets and underground systems.
- Replace conductors in conduit and test/splice loop detectors in the street.
- Ensure compliance with Miami-Dade County hardware and installation specifications.
- Work safely in outdoor environments year-round.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in traffic signal installation and maintenance required.
- Ability to interpret one-line diagrams and blueprints.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and Bluebeam preferred.
- Valid Driver’s License required; CDL training available through company sponsorship.
- Comfortable working in all weather conditions.

Compensation & Perks
- Pay Rate: $35.00 – $40.00 per hour (based on experience).
