The Floor Attendant's primary role is to keep fitness areas clean and organized. The Floor Attendant also supports the team in any tasks needed to maintain and improve operations.
Job Summary:
The Fitness Attendant is responsible for keeping the exercise, pool and locker room areas neat, clean and stocked with all amenities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain a safe, clean and well-organized gym and pool environments through consistent monitoring of the areas.
- Maintain the exercise machines and equipment at the Member Fitness Center and Marina Fitness clean.
- Stock gym supplies and amenities and maintain accurate supply lists and inventory sheets.
- Maintain eye contact when addressing external and internal guests.
- Handle guests’ questions and concerns professionally and courteously.
- Provide accurate, appropriate and immediate responses to all requests by guests, ensuring complete guest satisfaction.
- Develop ability to work without constant direct supervision and remain at assigned post for extended periods of time.
- Maintain a positive attitude and contribute toward a quality work environment.
- Regularly attend, participate in and support training and staff meetings for the fitness center.
- Assist in all areas of fitness operation as requested by management.
- Communicate to management any and all occurrences involving staff or guests in the fitness facility that require attention.

- Excellent communication and listening skills.
Language Skills:
Must be able to comprehend the English language in order to communicate with co-workers and fully understand job assignments.

Attendance, Appearance and Conduct:
Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by Ocean Reef Club from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Associates with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry and report deadlines, associate may be required to work varying schedules to meet the business needs of the Club and report deadlines.
Proper grooming is required by all associates and is described in detail in the Associates Handbook. Associates should review this policy and make sure that at all times they present themselves for shifts looking clean, neat and professional.
As a condition of employment, all associates agree to fully comply with Ocean Reef Club rules and regulations for the safe and efficient operation of Club facilities. Associates who violate Club rules and regulations will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
